The Rhode Island Board of Education adopted the Rhode Island Early Childhood Learning and Development Standards on May 23, 2013. These Standards for what children should know and be able to do before kindergarten were used as the basis or developing the Fun Family Activity Cards.

We must also recognize those who were instrumental in drafting multiple versions of the Fun Family Activity Cards and for gathering groups of parents who could provide valuable feedback which informed the development of the Fun Family Activity Cards.
